Jieon Jenny Kim
A 20-something Korean American dedicated to progressing healthcare and sustainability in her lifetime, while also enjoying her hobbies and passions on the side.
Who I Am
I’m Jieon. My friends call me Jenny for the most part, but both represent who I am. I’m a doctor-to-be, sustainability advocate, and lover of bakeries and running. My life has always been about range, and I believe that it brings the most fulfillment to my life.
I graduated from the University of Virginia in May of 2022, with a B.A. in Global Sustainability and a minor in Art History. I just completed an orthopedic research gap year in New York City, and am starting medical school at the University of Missouri School of Medicine in the fall.
Mentoring
Growing up, I felt that I struggled finding a mentor that understood all my career ambitions and immigrant story. That’s why I want to offer mentorship to other POCs who are also navigating a career in healthcare while wanting to maintain a fulfilling work-life balance.
